Aruba coordinates support for citizens in Colombia after earthquake
ORANJESTAD – The Government of Aruba met with several agencies and experts on Monday afternoon to assess the situation following the powerful earthquake in Colombia and determine whether Aruban citizens currently visiting or staying in the country have been affected.
Prime Minister Mike Eman met with Juri Nicolaas of DBB, Irma Gordon of KPA, Rino Hermans and Rene Ridderstaat of CMO, geology expert Armando Curet, and Ministry of General Affairs Secretary-General Robert Candelaria.
The government expressed solidarity with Colombia and said it is working to establish a clearer picture of any Aruban residents who may require assistance.
