ORANJESTAD — Justice Minister Arthur Dowers has announced a temporary policy allowing undocumented minors who entered Aruba through the airport before October 21, 2026, to apply for legal residency, provided at least one parent or guardian legally resides on the island.

The measure applies exclusively to children already in Aruba. It does not allow children to be brought from abroad for subsequent legalization.

The application period ends December 31, 2026. Legalization is not automatic, as DIMAS will assess each application individually, requiring documents including a valid passport, apostilled birth certificate and proof of the sponsoring adult's income.
