ORANJESTAD — The Aruba government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between FreeZone Aruba (FZA) and Aruba Ports Authority (APA) to explore relocating and modernizing the FreeZone at Barcadera. According to Minister Geoffrey Wever, proximity to the cargo port could reduce transportation costs and improve efficiency. The existing Bushiri facilities are fully occupied, with businesses on a waiting list. The agreement opens the way for studies into expansion, investment and economic diversification.
