ORANJESTAD — An interministerial government task force has met to begin preparations for implementing Aruba's new short-term vacation rental policy.
Representatives from Finance, Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Tourism and Public Health are working on a digital registration system, regulatory requirements and coordination of the next implementation steps.
According to the government, the system will provide a clearer overview of existing rental properties while improving transparency, oversight and organization within the tourism accommodation sector.
No registration launch date has been announced.
