ORANJESTAD — Aruba stands out in FlightHub’s latest 2026 travel trends report, recording a 118% increase in bookings from Canada compared with the same period a year earlier.
The figure is based on bookings made between October 2025 and August 2026. Aruba ranks among the fastest-growing destinations, behind Casablanca, Morocco, which rose 250%, and Liberia, Costa Rica, at 145%. Punta Cana also posted strong growth of 109%.
The result points to rising interest in Aruba among Canadian travellers during a year of significant changes in travel patterns. According to FlightHub, global events, generational preferences and emerging destinations are influencing where Canadians choose to travel.
While Delhi became the most popular international destination for Canadians, followed by Tokyo, London, Cancún and Paris, Aruba’s growth places the island among the destinations showing the strongest percentage increase in demand in 2026.
FlightHub’s Unveiled report compares booking data with the same period in 2025. The company says the trend will be worth watching to see whether the strong growth recorded in 2026 continues into 2027.
