ORANJESTAD — Aruba is set to welcome a new attraction centered around one of the island’s best-known local products. The Balashi Beer Experience is preparing to officially open on October 4, 2026, offering visitors an interactive journey through the history, production and identity of Balashi.
The experience covers approximately 1,300 square meters, consists of 12 different zones, and a complete visit is expected to last around 90 to 120 minutes.
During the tour, visitors are taken through the different stages of beer production, starting with the ingredients and brewing process and continuing through bottling and distribution. The attraction also incorporates elements explaining Balashi’s history and development as a local brand.
One part of the experience tells the story of Buchi and his family, forming part of the interactive way in which the organizers aim to connect the product with Aruba.
At the end of the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a tasting.
According to information presented about the project, the Balashi Beer Experience is expected to attract between 200,000 and 250,000 visitors annually.
The concept is aimed at both tourists and residents and seeks to present Balashi not only as a locally produced beer, but also as part of Aruba’s history and identity.
At this stage, the information presented about the experience does not specify the total investment, the total number of jobs created, or the precise basis used for the projection of 200,000 to 250,000 visitors per year.
