DAS: School-supply support increased by 50 florins for 2026 school year

ORANJESTAD — Aruba’s Department of Social Affairs (DAS) has announced that, effective September 1, 2026, financial support for school supplies has been increased by 50 florins.

Each September, clients who submit their school declaration on time can receive 300 florins, up to a maximum of 1,100 florins per family.

According to DAS, 378 school declarations were submitted on time and those clients have already received the increase this year. In addition, the Social Guidance section supported 261 children and young people with necessary school resources.

DAS says the measure is part of its broader effort to support families at times when they need assistance most.
