ORANJESTAD — Refineria di Aruba (RDA) has launched an international process to select a contractor for the demolition of two concrete chimneys approximately 300 feet tall. The work forms part of a project related to Aruba’s energy security.
The project will include a technical inspection of the site, preparation of safety zones, selection of the appropriate demolition method, controlled dismantling, responsible handling of waste materials and final cleanup of the area. RDA says the participation of local workers is strongly encouraged.
Because of the technical complexity of the work, safety and compliance with applicable regulations will be central to the process. Interested companies must complete a prequalification procedure and submit documentation related to health, safety and the environment.
The international tender marks another step in preparing the site for future activities related to energy infrastructure. The announcement does not yet specify which demolition method will be used or when the physical work will begin.
Qualified companies can register their interest until October 2, 2026. Photo AI.
