WestJet expands Aruba service in record winter sun schedule

MIAMI - WestJet has announced its largest-ever Latin America and Caribbean winter schedule for 2026/2027, with Aruba highlighted as one of the airline’s key sun destinations.

The Canadian carrier will increase overall capacity to Latin America and the Caribbean by 12% year over year, operating up to 1,252 weekly flights across 88 non-stop routes. WestJet says it is currently Canada’s largest airline serving Aruba, along with Mexico, Belize and Honduras.

The expansion is being driven by additional frequencies, larger aircraft and new routes from several Canadian cities as demand for winter sun travel continues to grow.

For Aruba, the announcement reinforces the importance of the Canadian visitor market and the island’s position as a major Caribbean destination within WestJet’s winter network.
