Aruba Governor Boekhoudt meets Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten to discuss developments in Aruba

THE HAGUE – Aruba's Governor, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, met with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten during an official meeting to discuss recent developments in Aruba and other matters of mutual interest within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

According to a statement shared by Prime Minister Jetten, the two leaders exchanged views on a range of issues concerning Aruba's current situation. The meeting formed part of the regular consultations between the Governor and the Dutch government aimed at maintaining an open dialogue on matters affecting the Kingdom.

Jetten said he appreciated the opportunity to meet with Governor Boekhoudt on a regular basis, both in Aruba and in the Netherlands.

"It is good that we are able to speak with each other more regularly, both in Aruba and in the Netherlands," Jetten said.

The meeting underscored the importance of ongoing communication between Aruba and the Netherlands, particularly on issues affecting the island's economic, social and institutional development. The Dutch government and the Governor of Aruba said they will continue to maintain close contact and strengthen cooperation on matters of shared interest.
