More than 381 students begin new programs at the University of Aruba
ORANJESTAD – The University of Aruba marked the start of the new academic year with its annual O’Days on August 18 and 19, welcoming new local and international students.
More than 860 students were admitted for the new academic year, while over 381 are starting a new program. The university is also welcoming more than 42 international students from several European countries.
During the two-day introduction, students were introduced to support services, the library, the International Office and other university departments. The program also included social and cultural activities such as a Fox Hunt, salsa sessions and outdoor activities.
This year’s theme, “Your Pattern Shapes More Than You,” encourages students to think beyond their own academic success and consider how their choices, relationships and actions can influence the wider community.
The university says the O’Days are intended to help students feel connected from the beginning and prepare them for the next stage of their academic journey.
