SAN NICOLAS - The first phase of renovations at the Edgar Joaquin (Watty) Vos Police Training Institute is nearing completion, creating a more modern and functional environment for training Aruba’s future police officers.
Justice Minister Arthur Dowers acknowledged that the institute, like several other Justice Ministry buildings, has suffered from years of insufficient maintenance and investment. The government therefore wants renovations to be accompanied by continuous preventive maintenance.
Further phases and a future expansion of the facilities are planned. The goal is to protect public investment and provide proper conditions for training police officers who will serve Aruba.
