ORANJESTAD - The government and Aruba Tourism Authority are moving ahead with the development of a national tourism policy aimed at defining the future direction of one of Aruba’s main economic pillars. Tourism Minister Wendrick Cicilia, ATA CEO Ronella Croes and ATA’s Supervisory Board discussed the authority’s Corporate Plan, its 2027 budget and upcoming tourism projects.
The national tourism policy process has already included two stakeholder sessions focused on reassessing Aruba’s tourism direction and expanding the sector’s strategic priorities.
A third session will focus more directly on implementing the strategic vision and developing concrete projects. The goal is to strengthen Aruba’s tourism industry and economy, improve resilience during difficult periods and create more opportunities for local participation in the economic benefits generated by tourism.
