CHOCÓ - The Colombian Geological Service reported several tremors early Friday, August 14, in Chocó and Antioquia, with magnitudes ranging from 2.9 to 3.2.
The strongest was a magnitude 3.2 earthquake near San José del Palmar in Chocó, at a depth of 89 kilometers. Other tremors were recorded near Dabeiba, Sipí and El Litoral del San Juan.
Seismic activity continues following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10. Authorities have registered around 160 aftershocks, several of them above magnitude 3.
Residents are being advised to keep emergency plans ready, identify evacuation routes and follow official information.
