ORANJESTAD — Air Transat has announced the launch of nonstop flights between Montreal and Aruba beginning Dec. 12, 2026, expanding direct air connections between Canada and the Caribbean island during the winter travel season.

The seasonal service will operate every Saturday through April 3, 2027, with flights connecting Montreal directly to Queen Beatrix International Airport in Oranjestad. The flight time is expected to be approximately five hours and 20 minutes.

According to the airline, the new route is aimed at travelers seeking weeklong or longer stays in Aruba during the winter months.

In announcing the service, Air Transat highlighted Aruba’s white-sand beaches, colorful Dutch-style architecture and location outside the hurricane belt as major attractions for Canadian visitors.

The airline described Aruba as an ideal year-round Caribbean destination known for its consistently sunny climate.

“It’s no wonder they call Aruba ‘One Happy Island,’” the company said in its official announcement.

The new nonstop connection with Montreal is expected to provide a significant boost to Aruba’s tourism sector by creating additional opportunities for Canadian travelers to visit the island during the high season.
