WEB: Unknown what caused Fridays total blackout in Aruba

ORANJESTAD – It was still unknown to utilities compania director Luis Oduber (WEB) what caused the total island blackout this morning in Aruba. The problem occurred at 9:37am, the director continued. Oduber only said that it was a malfunction in the central unit. It would be hours before the entire island was ‘reconnected’ with power. Around 11:50am however, several locations already started reporting that ‘electricity was back’.
