ORANJESTAD – Finance Minister Geoffrey Wever announced that the College Aruba Financial Supervision (CAft) has issued a positive opinion on Aruba's draft 2027 budget. According to CAft, says Wever, the budget complies with legal fiscal rules and projects a Afl. 203 million surplus, equal to 2.3% of GDP.

CAft acknowledged improvements in Aruba's financial management while making several recommendations that the government will incorporate into the final budget. It also noted that the General Investment and Development Fund (AIOF) still needs to submit its budget and investment agenda.

Wever said the positive assessment confirms that the AVP-FUTURO government remains on the right track in strengthening Aruba's public finances.
