CTO: Aruba's tourism growth continues in 2026

ORANJESTAD – Aruba continued its strong tourism growth during the first quarter of 2026, welcoming 427,343 visitors between January and March. That represents an 8.9% increase compared with the same period last year, according to figures released by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).

The results place Aruba among the Caribbean's best-performing tourism destinations during the opening months of the year, extending several years of steady growth for the island's visitor industry.

The increase comes as Aruba experiences one of its busiest periods of hotel development in recent years. Several international hotel brands are opening new resorts or expanding existing properties, further strengthening the island's luxury tourism offerings.

The January-to-March period traditionally marks Aruba's busiest travel season, as visitors from North America and Europe escape colder weather in search of warmer destinations.

According to the CTO, the nearly 9% increase reflects the island's continued strong demand. Aruba's location outside the Atlantic hurricane belt remains one of its biggest advantages, allowing it to attract visitors throughout the year.

Combined with its consistently sunny climate, white-sand beaches and wide range of accommodations, Aruba has built a loyal base of repeat visitors, reinforcing its reputation as one of the Caribbean's most dependable vacation destinations.
