DBB with travel advice: Check your destination before you go

ORANJESTAD – With the school vacation season underway, Aruba's Department of Foreign Relations is urging residents planning to travel abroad to check the latest official travel advice before departing. Proper preparation can help prevent unexpected problems and contribute to a safer trip.

The department advises travelers to review the travel advisories issued by the Kingdom's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, particularly when visiting countries or regions classified under orange or red travel alerts.

An orange travel advisory means that only essential travel is recommended, such as urgent business or compelling family circumstances, because of increased safety risks.

A red travel advisory means travelers are strongly advised not to travel under any circumstances due to serious security concerns.

The department also stresses that travelers who choose to visit destinations with an orange or red travel advisory should be aware that Dutch diplomatic missions may not always be able to provide assistance if problems arise.
