ORANJESTAD – Aruba's Department of Education (DEA) is reminding students who have applied for an Aruba Student Loan (Arubalening) that July 15, 2026, is the final deadline to submit all required documents to complete their applications.

The reminder follows the successful completion of "Ban pa Bay 2026," a six-workshop preparation program organized in collaboration with Realign Coaching Consultancy & Services and supported by the Stimuleringsfonds and the Strategic Educational Alliance (SEA). The program prepared students for higher education by covering study planning, leadership, financial management, independence, and cultural adaptation.

This year, the DEA received 423 applications, including 63 for studies in Aruba and 360 for students pursuing higher education abroad. Students who did not attend the workshops must first complete an assignment sent by email before becoming eligible for the student loan.

Approved applicants must upload six required documents through the Aruba Student Loan Portal, including a certified diploma, local bank account information, proof of insurance, university acceptance letter, parents' contact details, and the signed loan agreement. After approval, two original copies of both the loan agreement and the award declaration—signed in blue ink—must be submitted to the DEA. Without these documents, the loan cannot be processed

Students traveling to the Netherlands are also reminded that July 15 is the deadline to confirm participation in the Arubalening NL Travel Product, which includes the group flight scheduled for August 5, 2026. No additions or changes will be accepted after that date.

The DEA encourages students to monitor their online portal, follow official updates through www.ea.aw and Education Aruba's social media channels, and wishes all students success as they prepare for the next chapter of their academic journey.
