ORANJESTAD – The new direct flight between Bucaramanga and Aruba is helping strengthen commercial, tourism and investment ties between the Colombian department of Santander and Aruba.
A trade mission led by the Government of Santander, ProColombia, the Bucaramanga Chamber of Commerce and representatives from the private and healthcare sectors is using the new air connection to promote exports, attract investment and create new business opportunities in Aruba and the wider Caribbean.
The mission brings together business leaders, trade organizations and healthcare institutions seeking strategic partnerships while promoting Santander as a competitive destination for international trade, tourism and specialized services.
Healthcare tourism is expected to be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the new route. Santander has developed a strong reputation for specialized medical care, and officials believe the direct connection will make it easier for patients from Aruba and the Caribbean to access advanced medical services.
The delegation is also promoting agricultural products, processed foods, poultry products, clothing, footwear and specialized business services.
Authorities believe the Bucaramanga-Aruba route will become a long-term bridge for trade, investment and tourism, further strengthening economic cooperation between Santander, Aruba and the Caribbean region.
