ORANJESTAD – Aruba has emerged as the Caribbean's fastest-growing destination for travelers from South America, according to new figures from the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) highlighted by Caribbean Journal.

The report shows that Aruba welcomed 66,160 visitors from South America during the first quarter of 2026, representing a 32.6 percent increase compared with the same period last year. It was the highest growth recorded by any Caribbean destination in the South American market.

The figures highlight Aruba's successful strategy to diversify its tourism industry. While the United States, Canada and Europe remain the island's largest visitor markets, South America is becoming an increasingly important source of tourism growth.

According to Caribbean Journal, years of investment in regional marketing, improved air connectivity and Aruba's strategic location have helped position the island as one of the Caribbean's most attractive destinations for Latin American travelers.
