ORANJESTAD – Aruba has been named the safest honeymoon destination in the Caribbean for 2026, according to a new index published by the travel brand Honeymoon Always.

Aruba ranked first with a score of 8.50, followed by Barbados and Curaçao. The study evaluated 27 Caribbean destinations using six criteria, including safety, access to healthcare, honeymoon infrastructure, hurricane risk and tourism pressure.

According to the researchers, Aruba, Barbados and Curaçao stood out for combining strong infrastructure, high levels of safety and a relaxed travel experience for visitors.

In addition to earning the top overall ranking, Aruba was also recognized—alongside Curaçao—as one of the Caribbean destinations with the lowest hurricane risk, further reinforcing its reputation as a reliable destination for travelers.

The index is intended as a guide for couples planning their honeymoon and should not be considered an official government safety ranking.
