ORANJESTAD — The AZV Executive Body (OE AZV) has announced an additional Afl. 15 million advance to Horacio Oduber Hospital (HOH) to address its ongoing liquidity challenges. The latest allocation brings the hospital's additional advances in 2026 to Afl. 31 million.

According to AZV, extra financial resources have been provided since February, while the Ministry of Public Health, HOH and AZV continue discussions aimed at resolving the hospital's financial difficulties.

AZV emphasized that these public funds are subject to specific conditions to ensure responsible spending and safeguard the continuity, accessibility and quality of hospital care.

The parties are currently awaiting the results of several joint studies intended to identify a sustainable, structural solution to the hospital's financial challenges.

AZV expressed confidence that continued dialogue, cooperation and transparency will help achieve a lasting solution in the interests of Aruba's insured population.
