ORANJESTAD — The government has answered all 1,384 parliamentary questions on the first supplementary budget for 2026 and is awaiting a date for its debate, Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector Minister Geoffrey Wever announced.

The proposal includes adjustments to the 2026 budget, which is being implemented, to reflect current needs and economic developments. According to Wever, the changes are necessary to continue implementing government policy while maintaining fiscal discipline and complying with legal requirements. “We have answered all 1,384 parliamentary questions because transparency and accountability are integral to our financial management,” the minister said.

The proposal has undergone review by the Aruba Board of Financial Supervision (CAft) and the Advisory Council. The government included its responses to their recommendations in the documents submitted to parliament.
