ORANJESTAD — Aruba's annual inflation rate reached 3% in September 2026, with consumer prices increasing 0.3% compared with August, according to figures released Wednesday, October 28, by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).

The largest monthly price increases were recorded in healthcare (4.4%), household furnishings (1.1%) and transportation (0.4%). Food prices increased 2.3% on an annual-average basis.

CBS reports that the monthly minimum subsistence level rose to Afl. 2,700 for a single adult and Afl. 5,669 for a household of two adults and two children.

With the monthly minimum wage at Afl. 2,007, a single worker faces a shortfall of Afl. 693. Including the Afl. 175 supplementary allowance available to eligible workers, the gap narrows to Afl. 518.

The figures highlight rising living costs in Aruba and the continuing gap between minimum wages and the estimated income needed for an adequate standard of living.
