WILLEMSTAD — Curaçao’s Parliament has expressed reservations about Dutch conditions for extending the Landspakket reform agreement until April 2029. Parliamentarians want Curaçao to set its own priorities, while the Netherlands wants to fund only reforms that can realistically be completed within that period.

The governments of Aruba and Sint Maarten have indicated their willingness to continue, but parliamentary approval is also required. The three countries have until November 30, 2026, to communicate their decisions. Curaçao’s Parliament has not formally rejected the proposal.
