PARIS — One person was killed and at least four others injured in a shooting on Friday morning, October 23, in Trappes, a suburb of Paris, France.
Authorities say a 39-year-old man opened fire from his vehicle at people and cars, also striking a medical center and gas station. Police arrested the suspect in nearby Coignières.
France's National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office has taken over the investigation into a possible terrorist attack. The motive remains unclear, and the number of injured may rise.
