Aruba and Qatar explore sports cooperation and exchanges

ORANJESTAD — The Aruban Olympic Committee (COA) met with Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, president of the Qatar Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia, to explore cooperation and sports exchanges that could benefit Aruban athletes. World Aquatics president Husain Al-Musallam also attended.

COA president Wanda Broeksema, secretary general Nicole Hoevertsz and vice president Randall van Trigt presented current projects and future plans. Sheikh Joaan shared Qatar’s experience in improving sporting performance and sports organization.

COA will continue exploring cooperation between the two Olympic committees to support sports development in Aruba.
