ORANJESTAD — Aruba will receive a working visit next week from the Dutch House of Representatives’ Committee on Kingdom Relations. The MPs aim to gain firsthand knowledge of developments and challenges on the island and its relationship with the Netherlands.
It will be the committee’s first visit to Aruba since the Dutch parliamentary elections of October 2025. The trip is intended as an introduction for the committee in its new composition.
For security reasons, the itinerary and scheduled meetings in Aruba have not been published. The number of participating MPs has not been announced.
The visit comes amid discussions about governance, autonomy and the Netherlands’ role in the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom. The delegation will also visit Curaçao and Bonaire.
