ORANJESTAD — Aruba Airport Authority (AAA), Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) and JetBlue celebrated 20 years of the airline’s service between New York and Aruba. Its first nonstop flight from JFK arrived in Aruba on September 15, 2006.

According to the organizers, the connection has supported tourism and expanded travel options for visitors and residents. JetBlue connects Aruba with New York, Boston and Fort Lauderdale.

During a celebration at Queen Beatrix International Airport on October 15, JetBlue’s local team received recognition for its work. Departing passengers also received a commemorative item.

At JFK, A.T.A. staff celebrated with JetBlue employees and Aruba-bound passengers. Travelers were invited to take the Aruba Promise, pledging to visit responsibly and respect the island’s nature and culture.
