WASHINGTON — The White House has confirmed that President Donald Trump asked Kimberly Guilfoyle, the U.S. ambassador to Greece, to resign following allegations about her conduct.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Guilfoyle requested $100,000 from a Trump donor to settle a personal debt and offered access to government officials. Her lawyer has challenged the authenticity of the published messages. The allegations do not constitute a finding of guilt.
