DVG offers flu vaccinations in several neighborhoods
ORANJESTAD — The Department of Public Health (DVG), in cooperation with CMO, will offer influenza vaccinations in several neighborhoods from October 20 to 23, 2026, between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m.
The vaccination bus will be at IMSAN on October 20, Centro di Bario Playa Pabao on October 21, Centro Deportivo Santa Cruz on October 22, and Stadion Frans Figaroa on October 23.
Vaccination is especially recommended for people aged 60 and older, those with medical risk factors, people with weakened immune systems, certain pregnant women, healthcare workers and bedridden residents.
People aged 60 and older can receive the vaccine free of charge with their AZV card. Those under 60 in a medical risk group must bring an AZV card and a doctor’s prescription. Others can purchase the vaccine for Afl. 20 at DVG’s Infectious Diseases Section.
DVG stresses that influenza can cause serious complications, particularly among vulnerable people.
