ORANJESTAD — Parliament’s Tourism Committee, chaired by Jennifer Arends-Reyes, has started the new parliamentary year with a planning meeting to set priorities and prepare its work agenda.
As a next step, the committee will meet with the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) for an overview of the sector, including plans, outlook and forecasts for the coming period.
Arends-Reyes stressed that Parliament should closely monitor tourism and assess not only growth, but also its impact on jobs, local businesses and community well-being.
