More than 2,000 applications for just 20 FCCA homes highlight urgent housing demand

ORANJESTAD — FCCA received more than 2,000 applications for only 20 homes under its “Yabi den bo man” mortgage campaign, a figure the foundation says confirms the urgent and growing demand for reasonably priced housing in Aruba.

The project consists of 17 row houses in Rooi Bosal and three detached homes in Shaba. FCCA will build and deliver the homes fully completed to the buyers.

Applications are being processed in the order they were received. FCCA is checking whether applicants submitted valid documentation, meet eligibility requirements, have sufficient financial capacity and passed the screening process.

The first 20 applicants who meet all conditions will qualify for one of the available homes. If an applicant does not qualify, FCCA will move to the next application in sequence.

FCCA says all applicants, both successful and unsuccessful, will be contacted in the coming days.

According to the foundation, the unusually high number of applications is a clear indication that Aruba needs more housing. FCCA says it will continue working on additional housing projects in the future.
