The Young Voices reunite to honor Maybelline Arends-Croes’ musical legacy

ORANJESTAD — Seven singers from The Young Voices will reunite on stage on November 22, 2026, for a tribute concert honoring their teacher and mentor, Maybelline Arends-Croes. The performance takes place at the Renaissance Convention Center at 7 p.m., accompanied by a live band led by Carlos Bislip.

Founded in 1978 under Arends-Croes’ musical direction, the group originally brought together children aged 9 to 14. During the 1980s, The Young Voices gained recognition through local and international performances combining vocal harmonies, dance and songs in several languages and styles.

Through “The Young Voices – The Reunion 2026,” the singers will recognize Arends-Croes’ lasting influence on their musical and personal development and her contribution to Aruba’s cultural life. The repertoire will revisit songs that recall the group’s history and the friendships formed over the years.
