ORANJESTAD — Aruba ranks 19th among destinations for families and 22nd for couples, but 46th for solo travelers, according to booking data released by travel insurance marketplace Squaremouth on September 22 for fall 2026 travel.
The company says beach destinations remain popular with families and couples, while solo travelers show greater interest in culture, discovery and adventure. Italy and the United States lead the rankings for both solo travelers and couples.
The contrast extends beyond Aruba. The Bahamas ranks third for families but 22nd for solo travelers. Destinations such as Peru and Morocco rank higher among solo travelers than among couples and families.
For Aruba, the findings suggest an opportunity to give cultural and adventure experiences greater visibility alongside its beaches to attract this segment.
The rankings reflect Squaremouth’s data rather than the entire tourism market. They do not establish a decline in the number of solo travelers visiting Aruba.
