Three armed men rob victim in Cumana

CUMANA – A man was robbed by three armed suspects at an apartment in Cumana early Friday morning.

At approximately 1:45 a.m., the Police Dispatch Center sent an Oranjestad patrol to the location following a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, the victim told officers that three men had attacked him and that one of them was carrying a firearm.

According to the victim, the suspects struck him on the back of the neck with the weapon before fleeing with several belongings, including chains, rings, a watch and cash.

The three suspects were dressed in dark clothing and had their faces covered. They spoke Papiamento and Spanish and fled on foot.

Paramedics examined the victim and provided medical assistance. The Robbery Team and forensic officers attended the scene and launched an investigation.

The Aruba Police Force is asking anyone with information or who may have witnessed anything to call the anonymous police tip line at 11141.
