AMSTERDAM – Travellers from Aruba flying through Schiphol on Tuesday or Wednesday should allow extra time because of work stoppages by airport security staff.
The first actions caused longer security lines. Although digital signs briefly showed waits of about one hour, Schiphol said the actual average delay was closer to 20 minutes.
More disruption is possible on Wednesday, when five 15-minute stoppages are planned closer together. The CNV union says delays could build up and some passengers could potentially miss their flights.
Travellers from Aruba connecting through Schiphol should therefore arrive early and allow extra time for security.
