Armed robbery at Gems Jewelry in Palm Beach; suspects flee on scooter

PALM BEACH – Police were alerted Monday morning at around 11:10 to an armed robbery at Gems Jewelry in Palm Beach. According to preliminary information, two men wearing helmets entered the store, with at least one of them carrying a firearm.
The suspects reportedly did not speak during the robbery and fled afterward heading north on a black scooter.
Several units of the Aruba Police Force were dispatched to the scene, including uniformed officers, the K-9 unit, RRT, motorcycle police, the Robbery Team and forensic officers as the investigation continues.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen something or has information about the robbery to contact the police tip line at 11141. Information can be provided anonymously.
