Dutch lawmakers question approval of newly appointed Venezuelan Consul to Aruba

DEN HAAG – Two Dutch lawmakers questioned the Dutch approval of newly appointed Venezuelan Consul General for Aruba Carlos Figueroa. In a 5 question note to Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok, PVV’s Raymond de Roon and Machiel de Graaf asked specific questions in this matter, as a Dutch Newspaper article referred to the Venezuelan diplomat as a known drug baron. Amongst questions asked, the lawmakers ask the minister if he is willing to ‘quickly revoke’ the approval of the appointment. The Dutch minister is expected to answer the letter within the next 2 weeks.
