SAN NICOLAS – Detectives in San Nicolas have arrested four suspects as part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting that took place on June 21, 2026, outside Pacifico Restaurant in San Nicolas.
The arrests followed a judicial operation carried out early Friday morning at a residence on St. Maarten Street. The operation involved the Police Arrest Team, the K-9 Unit and uniformed officers from the San Nicolas district.
The shooting was reported at approximately 3:55 p.m., prompting police to respond to the scene. Investigators believe two vehicles were involved: a blue Nissan March and a gray Toyota Altezza. By the time officers arrived, both vehicles had left the area. During their investigation, police recovered several spent shell casings and found evidence of multiple bullet impacts.
A short time later, officers located the abandoned Toyota Altezza on Bonaire Street. The vehicle was seized as evidence.
Following several days of investigation, detectives arrested three suspects:
D.R., 27, born in Aruba;
L.T.D., 23, born in Aruba; and
K.R., 18, born in Aruba.
Later that afternoon, a fourth suspect voluntarily reported to the San Nicolas Police Station and surrendered to authorities. The suspect was identified as M.P.Y., 17, who was also born in Aruba.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine the exact role of each suspect and the motive behind the shooting.
